What are some good boy's hairstyles for a pre-teen?
My son wants a new haircut. He doesn't like emo, and his hair is so straight it doesn't look good in a point cut (you need a little curl for that). And he doesn't like super-short bowling ball cuts, either.
When he was young, it was in a longer, modified Dutchboy (sort of a wedge) kind of like this, but with shorter sides:

He's tired of it and wants something with more flair. Neighborhood parents who don't know his name call him "The Beach Boy", if that gives you a clue to his looks and personality (blonde, blue eyes).

You don't have to go bowling ball buy you could get it down to an inch if you want something real easy. I personally don't like the bowling ball look but I have had it trimed down to 1/4 to an inch. You could try that and let it grow out or maybe it will look good short, but not super short. I have 3 blonde hair blue eyed friend and they all have pretty short hair and it looks good so that is what I would do personally but do what you like. Hope this helps!

This is ok, but uniformly short is not what he wants. His words were "something with more flair" so I don't know if he even knows what he wants! Thakns for trying!
