But for people like you who are actually looking to solve a problem, instead of promote vanity, there seems to be no answers. It's sad, really. Makes me ill.

I'd recommend getting an appointment with (or referral to) a cosmetic surgeon. They can provide you with the answers and options you need.
I'd be pretty upset too if the only option given to me was makeup! Keep in mind that unless there are health risks associated with your mark, insurance will most likely consider it elective surgery and not cover it. The cosmetic surgeons office will be able to confirm that.
I've had a few extra things removed before. One mark was on my back so my family Dr. did the surgery. I'm sure if it was on my face I'd have gotten a referral to a specialist.
I hope you find what you need this time! :)

Medical makeup!!?? You have got to be kidding!!?? I waited a whole week to find out how to get rid of my birth mark to be told about makeup
Medical makeup!!?? You have got to be kidding!!?? I waited a whole week to find out how to get rid of my birth mark to be told about medical makeup. That girl you had on there was paid very well for that farce. Any one above the age of 2 knows about all of the makeup tricks. I live everyday looking like a monster, I will not leave the house with out makeup, I carry makeup with me at all times because I'm scared someone will see my face. I don't need bull s--t I need to know how to get rid of it. I have spent thousands of dollars trying to get rid of this thing and people are still blowing smoke up my tuckus.

Unfortunately, it's the direction we are moving as a society. Too lazy to even put on eyeliner in the morning. Of course, I can see the upside to it. Cry at a funeral? Makeup looks great. Spend the night at a paty and wake up on the couch with a dog sleeping on you? Makeup looks fine still. Your boyfriend shows up early and you just got out of the shower? No worries. But for people like you who are actually looking to solve a problem, instead of promote vanity, there seems to be no answers. It's sad, really. Makes me ill.

Well Dr. Oz is a cardiologist, not the best person in the world to be asking about cosmetic surgery. I'd recommend getting an appointment with (or referral to) a cosmetic surgeon. They can provide you with the answers and options you need.

I'm 45, I have had 29 cosmetic surgeries(at 1300.00 a square inch). Dr Oz made it sound like they finally had the answer to remove a port wine stain and then he came up with makeup and acted like it was a medical break through. So how is your answer helping? I'm not getting something here.I am asking these questions to get help understanding why he would think that makeup would be the GREAT answer. If you were born with a port wine stain then every dollar of your parents money would of went to some kind of makeup and plenty of surgery. So don't bring a woman on a show at age 35-45 and have her act like she never tried Medical makeup and then make it out to be this BIG break through.

I agree. Sorry my answer wasn't more informative. I only had your question to base my reply on. Your comment had more information in it. As unlikely as it is that I will find something you haven't already tried, I'm happy to continue looking into it if you'd like.
Most of the time the "experts" in certain conditions are those that suffer from it the most - not the Doctors, as you can well attest.
