It's better for a woman to use a woman's razor. This isn't just a marketing ploy on the part of razor companies to sell more razors. A man's skin is about 20% thicker than a woman's.
The link I'm providing gives more information, but that's the least you need to know! Your wife should be aware of this too so she can take better care of her skin.

Oh how times have changed - I remember very well stealing my bf's razor because it gave a much closer shave than mine. Not anymore. It seems women now have more options - the razors are way more advanced for us than they used to be. Tell your wife to try one of the new women's razors and give yours back! I've been using the Gillette Venus razor and I've been pretty darn happy with it. Good luck!

It's okay I guess, but I wouldn't really recommend it. Aside from the fact that by using your razor she's dulling the blade(s), I've found that a man's razor is really a lot harder to maneuver in the shower (see: itty bitty handle). I've been using the Venus razor and I like the big handle - easy to grip and much, much harder to drop! If I were you I'd definitely go out and get your beloved a Venus razor of her own - problem solved. Hope this helps!

For the woman, it's great! Men's razors, for some reason, I have found are much better than women's razors. However, due to the larger surface area we women have to shave, we tend to dull out razors fairly quickly. So, if a woman takes a man's razor and uses it and doesn't tell him, he may end up with some nicks on his face from shaving with a dull blade.

Well it won't hurt her to use yours but it will dull your blades faster then if only you were using it. Or are you using an electric razor? If you are using an electric one, go buy her a woman's electric razor. If you are using just a regular razor go get her the women's version of the same one, maybe she just really likes how it shaves but either forgets to pick one up for herself or figures it is just easier to use yours. I happens to like the Gillette Venus ones myself, they are less irritating to the bikini area then my hubby's razors (yes i have "borrowed" his in the past) as they are designed for the legs as opposed to the face.
