Hopefully you won't have many nights of crying. But, here are a couple of tips on how to help reduce the puffiness.
1. Cucumber Slices, close your eyes and place one slice over each lid for about 2-3 mins.
2. Cold Spoons, keep 2 metal soup/teaspoons in the refrigerator all the time, on mornings when you wake up with puffy eyes, close your eyes and place the backs of the spoons on your eyelids for several minutes.
3. Cold moist cloths, keep a bottle of water in the fridge at all times, use the water to wet a washcloth and then place the wash cloth over your eyelids for several minutes.

You can also try putting teabags on your eyes... after boiling it on water, squeeze out remaining water on tea bags then let it cool. Rest the teabags on your eyes for a couple of minutes.
The most known cure for this is by putting thinly sliced cucumber on your eyes and let it rest for quite a while.
You can also try using Garnier Eye Roll on. It effectively relaxes the eye area. It's a must have for women who usually lack sleep. I've made a product review about this before. It works for me, so I hope it would work on you too.
If by doing these didn't completely decreases the soreness of you eye bags, just dab some concealer on the dark circles.

You have to get your eye bags relaxed. Try putting a spoon on the fridge. When it gets cold, massage the rounded part of the spoon into your eye bags. This will minimize the soreness of your eyes. You can also try putting teabags on your eyes... after boiling it on water, squeeze out remaining water on tea bags then let it cool. Rest the teabags on your eyes for a couple of minutes.
