Curl it with a straightener and don't use any product I do this all the time. You end up with that general look especially if you aren't that good at it lol. Basically the worse your curls look the better then just run your fingers through it and you are done. As for the cut go to a beauty supply store buy a razor and attempt to cut it your self in the mirror that's the only way I can think to get your hair like that because a professional will try to make it look nice and that's not what you want. also remember to trust your self when cutting your hair if you don't over think it then its easy and shoot for longer then you really want it so you leave room for mistake.

Your link does not go anywhere. What type of hair style are you looking for?

Go to a saloon with the picture of the hair style and ask them to help you.

That picture looks like a personal one so if you know this subject you might want to start by asking how he achieved such a rock star hair style and hopefully he will offer some tips on cutting styles, maintenance and upkeep and hopefully a recommendation to his hairstylist.

You could successfully grow your hair to that length then get a good nights sleep and ..Voila! You will have that hairstyle.

Also mentioned in this thread.. bringing that picture to the salon would be helpful by allowing a professional to surmise what products or combination of products would help in obtaining that desired "rock star" effect.

It does appear to me as if the subject in the picture has simply grown his hair out and the end result was a product of the natural way his hair grows. While you might be able to grow your hair to this length, you might not be able to achieve this exact style. However, better that that you will have achieved the style in your own sense which *will be even better* than that one.

Good luck in the quest for "the style".

I don't actually know her, but I know her hair is naturally straight(my hair is also straight) and I believe it was cut in that style.

It looks like she has lots of layers and I'm I don't know how she got the scrunchie/ wavy look. I'm also wondering how she got the tips of her hair to be so fringey (a hair razor?).

My Tip is get it wet and scrunch it in your hands to make ur hair curly. Then let it dry and comb it out softly with your fingers until desired lookl.

I have asked a cosmetology student friend of mine and she said that the desired effect near the tips was most likely created with a hair razor or by using thinning shears

When your hair is wet, apply some mousse and scrunch sections with your fingers while you blow dry it. The ends of the hair would also appear this way if you braided sections but not all the way to the ends and then took the braids out before it was too crinkled (making the ends straighter than the rest of the hair).

Hope that helps.
