A crab dribble is when the dribbler has their back to a defender and dribbles the ball between their feet with step-slide footwork. Note that a dribble (in basketball) requires one to bounce the ball on the floor. Lebron did not bounce the ball at any time during the 3 steps.

Direct Answer: Yes, LeBron James is full of it here.
