A great story, I don't see any reason why Reggie would forget that story, has it been documented at all, there are lots of books documenting his life perhaps that anecdote is published?

Do you think Reggie Jackson remembers when he tried to buy a Rolls in Scottsdale Az and was refused?
The dealer saw Mr. Jackson behind the wheel of his Rolls and made a fuss firing the salesman on the spot. The dealer didn't know who Reggie was. This was in the middle 70's when he played for Oakland. I was the manager and Mr. Jackson drove up in a Rolls the following week he bought in California. He said, "Get the owner out here". He then gave the owner a well known sign and speed off. It was great.
