Girona Airport is best option for you.Its just 1 hr 15 min from barcelona.Girona aiport transfers are cheap and you can easily get train,bus,car hire from there.

I travel all over the world and I use this site www.openseat.rovia.com and it's easy to use.

They beat travelocity and expedia for the lowest price 7 out of 10 times. Check and let me know what you think?
