Will Tony Fein be suspended for his recent arrest?

Baltimore Ravens linebacker Tony Fein was arrested over the weekend after someone thought he was carrying a gun. Turns out the gun was only a cell phone, but he allegedly shoved a police officer and was charged with assault.

Now since he was doing nothing wrong in the first place to lead the cops to approach him, how likely is he to get out of the charge? Will he be suspended by the National Football League?

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell may suspend him under the personal conduct policy. Fein was allegedly violent with the police officer.

The personal conduct policy states, ''Engaging in violent and/or criminal activity is unacceptable and constitutes conduct detrimental to the integrity of and public confidence in the National Football League.''http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2798214

Even though the officers approached him for the wrong reasons, a better course of action for Fein would have been to cooperate fully. Then he could have filed a complaint later if he felt the issue was mishandled by the officers.

This is a first offense; but Goodell is serious about cleaning up the NFL's image. Fein may be the latest player made an example.

We can't know now, we'll just have to wait and see what happens as Anthony "Tony" Fein agent is saying that the rookie NFL player is a victim of police profiling. I don't think he'll get a proper suspension, to me it looks like he'll get through it as non-guilty.

Fein’s agent, Milton Dee Hobbs, says it was the officer who was aggressive and that Fein didn’t shove him. Hobbs says police approached Fein because he was a black man wearing a sweat suit and hoodie.

Hobbs also says Fein has never owned a weapon.
