Yes, Liberty has had many years of successful flights. I have worked around NYC for many years and have only heard of 2 accidents involving helicopter tours. The odds are that you will be fine if you decide to go on one.

Would you still use Liberty Tours after today's crash in the Hudson River?
Liberty Tours is the company that operated the helicopter that crashed with a plane in the Hudson River today. Initial reports state the airplane hit the chopper, almost making it sound like the plane was at fault.
Does this incident, regardless of who was to blame, change your opinion of potentially booking with that company? Same question for other companies with safety issues. Are you less likely to fly a certain airline or use Amtrak following accidents? Why or why not?

Sounds like it was the plane fault. I would not be afraid of using the helicopter. Think of all the successful flights. You have to be positive. I have been on very small planes before and always re consider it but still get right on them too! Aparently one did not see the other.

No - but I would not fly on ANY helicopter or plane over New York City. I do not think that Liberty or any other company is to blame. There have just been too many accidents in that area. The air space is too congested to take a "joyride" in.
