Are Lisa Ann Reardon's books based on her own life story?

Novelist Lisa Ann Reardon has written three books, each that deal with family life, murder, abuse and addiction. Last week she shot her father. He survived, but she shows little remorse.

Does anyone know if her life story inspired her books or was it her books that gave her the mindset to shoot her father?
