First woman president of the Philippines and the first woman president in Asia.Mother of Philippine Democracy. Led the bloodless revolution in 1986 that overturned a dictator and the martial law.One of the most awesome Filipinos to have ever walked on earth.May you rest in peace, Madam Corazon "Cory" Aquino. Thank you for everything you've done for the Filipino People.

She gave a lot of people hope - that women could change the world, that a social movement could take down a dictator, that people could rewrite the rules that everyone assumed could never be challenged.
