Hieronymus Bosch (c.1450-1516) Garden of Earthly Delights

I fell in love with Bosch back when I thought Salvador Dali was the cat's meow, and that only modern artists had imagination.
I promptly bought a $50 coffee table book of Bosch's work at a time when I couldn't even afford a coffee table.
I am no art critic, as you will find out in just a few seconds, but here is my brief understanding of the work.
This particular piece is considered by many to be Bosch's masterpiece. A triptych, maded up of three panels on wood show a progression from God communing with Adam and Eve before the fall, continuing to the center panel showing man at the height of his debauchery and the right showing the sinful creatures getting what they deserved.
The detail, the fantastical and nightmare quality that today's goths movement may well appreciate is somehow deliciously tantalizing. We can't stop looking at it.
