This design style is great. The photo, in a 3D paper frame is good on the lower right corner. It gets attention. It is easy to read and follow the theme. It is not too cluttery and "busy". It is well balanced, pleasant. Full of details, but not too many.
On the left is text, and 3 dimensional stickers or paper forms.
Great for many themes, including, girls, sports, babies, weddings.
Or you can move the photo to the upper left.

Same idea, but different placement.
Basic concept is to present a photo, add your own text to make it personal, and add 3 dimensional personal mementos, details, unique souvenirs.
It makes a great journal, book to show friends and relatives, and a personal keepsake. Also they are wonderful for gifts for newlyweds, birthdays, grandparents, new babies.

Scrapbooking page layout has become popular for brochures, invitations, websites and pages, and other graphic arts commercial advertising uses. As long as it is not too "cluttery", it is very personal, unique, gets the message across, and makes the reader feel "at home". It draws them in! Good luck on your project.

As far as paper goes, I like to use a solid background on one page and a pattern on the opposite page. This not only saves money, but it also prevents it from looking to busy.
Here are some examples of how I set up my pages to fit quite a few pictures on them.

I also like to try things like this when I have time. In this picture, the little square is actually a long rectangle folded accordian style. I cropped the pictures and gluded them on each side of the strip. I glued down one end and put a fancy cover on the other end. Once all folded up, it is held in place by ribbons tied on top.
A very convenient way to put a lot of pictures in a little space.
Hope this helps and good luck scrapbooking! Start out simple and you'll get the hang of it.

What is the nicest scrapbook layout that you've made or seen?
Scrapbooking is HUGE around where I live. Some of the pages come out looking really great.
While I'm not much into scrapbooking, the page layouts interest me. Can you show me one of your nicest layouts and tell me why it's great?

hi, glad you like the pics. it was difficult to sort through digital online pics to find good layouts. if you turn to http://www.joann.com and http://www.michaelscrafts.com They will have page layouts and scrapbooking ideas. They have store fronts if you don't know about it (it's a girl thing usually). These layouts very much appeal to teens, women and girls, these days! good luck Rob

I like to scrapbook in my free time, but unlike the previous entry, I like to keep my layouts simple while trying to fit alot of pictures on a page. As far as paper goes, I like to use a solid background on one page and a pattern on the opposite page. This not only saves money, but it also prevents it from looking to busy.
