The best piece of art I have seen in the last two weeks is... "World Reclamation Art Project (W.R.A.P.)" other wise known as "The Gas Station Project" by Jennifer Marsh and the International Fiber Collaborative.
It is an all knit gas station created by people all over the world and put together by Jennifer Marsh(from what I understand). The finished piece is at an abandoned gas station in central New York State.
I cannot knit (havent tried at least), but I was quite impressed with ALL of the "knit graffiti". The video is about a knitting gang, the PHOTO IS THE GAS STATION, and the links under sources contain much more coolness and more info.
Looks like they are working on a life sized knit tree at the International Fiber Collaborative this coming year.

This is one of my favorite photographs that I came across recently. Among many emotional responses, (creepy, painful, pity, sad), I also felt worried for the boy in the picture. I feel like he has unfortunately been exposed to a part of life that kids his age should never experience. It looks as if he is terrifyingly confused and I worry that if he grows up with war all around him, he’ll turn into some angry fighting machine and not know why. The photograph does a marvelous job of capturing this boy’s unique facial expression. It’s so empty and still full of sadness.

I love this photograph... its a portrait of a young beggar in bangladesh... its been one of my favorites and im simply in love with the emotion he has captured. after seeing the photo above, it immediately made me think of this.
