do you learn better by reading a book or by reading a web page?
google has a few million results for "learn flash" and you can narrow that by adding the name and version of your authoring program.
likewise, there are plenty of books at amazon, mostly in the twenty dollar range.
find a community that features the sort of work you want to do. (For instance: if you wanted to learn photoshop, there's quite a lot of people teaching each other photoshop at fark.com) by doing small projects, you'll learn the tricks and limitations of the program. being in a community of other artists can really help. if someone does a neat trick or effect, they are usually willing to explain to their peers how they did it.
try: http://flash.deviantart.com/
good luck

I went to high school in South Jersey and on Saturday Mornings would take Poetry and Script writing courses at The University of the Arts in Philadelphia.
My sister, who currently lives in NYC, takes Painting classes on Monday evenings at a Jewish Community Center. Search the area you live in, if you truly want it, you can make it happen :)

I recommend taking a course at your nearest Art College. If this is really something you are interested in, than you won't mind adding to your already busy schedule a class or two. Sometimes you can go in the evening or on Saturday mornings. I went to high school in South Jersey and on Saturday Mornings would take Poetry and Script writing courses at The University of the Arts in Philadelphia.
