Math could be used in a variety of ways- learning new perspectives on symmetry and geometry, for instance. Just look at some of the wildly-math oriented art forms of the fractal, or the stark impossibility of MC Escher! Frank Lloyd Wright had worked with a civil engineer before departing UofW sans degree- but was later awarded a Honorary Fine Arts degree. Further, having math facility close at hand helps with photoshop and illustrator. If that all fails to inspire you, then know this: (most) Math is perfectly straight laced. If you resist that sort of thing, then perhaps knowing it will serve to happily distance you or at least allow you to know your enemy.
