Jing is what I used to make that screen grab.
Download it here http://www.jingproject.com/ In combination with a Flickr account the whole process is as Jing likes to say "Moving at the speed of conversation". The arrows and other editing functions are right on your monitor all the time with a small non-intrusive "sun" icon at the top center of the monitor.
@jeffhoard recommended this to me and other Mahalo users and he uses it himself. Jing is easy to use and free and on both Mac and Windows.

Best thing about this... it's FREE and there's nothing to download.

How do I add arrows to images using paint?
I would like to learn how to add arrows to images I create from screen shots. Currently, I am using Paint. Do I need a different program? If so, what would you suggest.
This picture is one like I would like to be able to create.

If you don't mind spending $50, I highly recommend Snagit. Jing is a great tool and it's free - but you're pretty limited on what you can do. Snagit and Jing are both made by the same company - TechSmith. But with Snagit you can do so much more and it's so easy to use. You can get a 30 day trial of Snagit here, and watch a video overview of the product:

It's really simple. You can add them by opening up your text box and scrolling down your font list to WEBDINGS 3. There are lots of symbols for just about everything you can think of. Of course you can choose your size, color, etc. Just drag the image wherever you'd like to place it on your photo or design or better yet open your text box over the area you wish to place the arrow. When you get it positioned properly click the box so the image stays put. http://img24.imageshack.us/img24/3487/webdings3.png
