You'd think that being a Chihuahua owner and lover that I'd pick the Paris statue, but hey... it's too disturbing. Plus I don't really want to see what Miss Hilton has eaten before she supposedly died.

The Spears statue made me very... uncomfortable. Maybe it's because I can't visualize giving birth in that position (is it even possible?) let alone, on a bear head... rug... thing.

The dead Prince complete with vulture is also on my list of sculptures that disturb me since it looks like an actual sculpture that would reside in Westminster Abbey (without the vulture of course).

I think that Daniel Edwards is a great artist and if his intent was to show celebrity icons in an almost humorous and gross light, then he has succeeded. It almost reflects the way the media distorts and picks apart these people and their lives. I almost wonder if it's our fault since we demand, watch, and love to see celebrities trip, fall and get into trouble.
I would have to pick Michelle Obama as my favorite statue.

People think that he is perpetuating some African stereotype, and are outraged. I think it puts her in an almost 'royal' and out-of-reach role that the media again has done to her. Making her look more like an Egyptian queen such as Nefertiti.

The reason I like this statue is that it brings out the natural beauty that Michelle Obama has. You can't take that away from her by placing her in any controversial light.

Which is your favorite Daniel Edwards sculpture?
The new Angelina Jolie breastfeeding version, or the Britney Spears classic? The Oprah Sarcophagus? The Paris Hilton autopsy? So many creepy options...
