ARENA FOOTBALL! Are you surprised to see them come back after a year-long hiatus?

I saw an ARIZONA RATTLERS billboard yesterday and thought I was in a time warp. Checked it out online, and it is true! The league is back, with a new ownership model, and some old teams, some new ones. http://www.azrattlers.com/news/releases/index.html?article_id=471

I'm surprised in a way that the league returned. At the same time I'm surprised the old league lasted over 20 years to begin with. Lots of action and scoring, but I never could get into the game that much. I prefer the NFL and college. I suppose the popularity is the scoring and the inexpensiveness of the tickets compared to the major sports leagues. I have watched a few games but wont attend any.

I'm shocked to see my local team, the New Mexico Wildcats (AIFA) are still alive as of January 15th. The Albuquerque area has some difficulties even supporting the minor league hockey team on a year by year basis.

Wow, rdm, I didn't even know there was a 2nd indoor football league! Must be somethin' to it, if they can show that kind of staying power!
