Are there still brown and black belt tests on Mahalo?
I haven't seen any in a while. If I missed one, I'm sorry! I haven't been around Answers in a while. So can I look forward to future belt levels?

Like you and the rest of us we have not seen a belt test in a long long time. However 17 days ago @coreymac made an announcement, Announcement: Focusing on Rewarding Quality Participation and Helpful Users within Mahalo Answers and in this announcement he said that Mahalo belts are part of what Mahalo is all about.
"Besides, rewarding quality and community is exactly what Mahalo Answers is all about; it's why we built points, belts, voting, tipping, and lots of other great features into Mahalo Answers, and it's why we're continuing to develop even more ways to better engage and reward that very same sense of helpful community."
So while we have not seen any Mahalo belt tests in a while the latest information on them is that they still exist and are a valuable and integral part of the Mahalo community. Without inside Mahalo staff information or Mahalo staff response in this thread I am afraid this is the best information we can get on the subject of Mahalo belts and the tests for them.
After checking a bit it looks like @vladis was the last user to earn a Brown belt on May 26th, 2010 and @tealmyster and @lauriem earned their Black belts on April 7th and 8th, 2010 respectively. That sounds about right to me as far as the last of the belt tests goes. I hope those that have earned them in the past 3 + months will be tested and receive the Mahalo belts they deserve soon.

...and I´m one of the Hurons, part of many and away from gains, points or any reward.
I just checked and seem that the Mahalo landscape has changed the last couple of months. You can hardly see any of the old veterans anymore. Answers are now full of new green and purple faces.
Seemed to me that new policies and bad decisions took its toll on the roster, sad.
I would like to draw your attention to the following point:
"Open until voting tie is broken".
There is only one great answer with 5 votes, still "Open until voting tie is broken", - who will correct these types of mistakes?
