About us Hey U G L Y was founded in 2002 in response to the daily headlines describing the increase in teen suicide, gun violence in schools, bullying, drug abuse, eating disorders, and the obesity epidemic facing American youth. M$There are also smaller groups that range from state to state or city to city that try to counter bullying. For example, No Bully operates in San Francisco. Educational Equity Concepts operates out of New York City.
There is also Action for Children, a group that operates out of the United Kingdom, and believes that "every child has a right to a safe and secure childhood."
