If you are planning on visiting the Franklin Institute Science Museum then you should probably consider getting a city pass. A City pass allows you to visit over 6 locations in Philadelphia, one of which is the Franklin Institute. A Philadelphia CityPASS gives you a 47% discount on the Franklin Institute entrance fee.
