Are Biore pore strips good for you to remove blackheads from your nose? I did not see it mentioned on How to Get Rid of Blackheads.

Does everyone have these? Can you completely get rid of blackheads or is there any way to complete get rid of them?

I actually wrote the How to Get Rid of Blackheads page and the reason I did not include pore strips on there was because, during my research, I found several negative and other ambivalent reviews about pore strips. I wasn't able to find specific dermatological advice, but several sites mentioned that the pore strips are actually harmful to your skin.

I have tried them before but they were expensive and did not work so I would not recommend them.

They do have something called a comedone extractor which is a tool that is suppose to help remove black heads. I have not tried it, but you can learn more about it here: http://www.amazon.com/Suvorna-Blackhead-Cleaner-Comedone-Extractor/dp/B001A11UG6/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=hpc&qid=1247512745&sr=1-1

I've tried the biore strips on my nose a few times a few years ago. It was a whole process to use because first you had to wet your nose and then stick it on then wait a while until you could take it off. It hurt a lot pulling it off. There was some stuff that came out of my pores but it didn't completely clear up my blackheads. I stopped using them though because it wasn't worth the trouble. I will admit I still have blackheads now but I don't care and I wash my face with soap and water now.

I haven't tried Biore itself, but back in the 90s when pore strips were first introduced, I tried them a whole bunch.

Yes, they help. You would be shocked and appalled to see what stuff they pull off of your skin. Seriously. S-h-o-c-k-e-d. Ewww. And as a result, your blackheads are somewhat reduced, as long as you keep up with regular use.

But I don't use them anymore. They hurt. Massive amounts of swear words flew out of my mouth each time I'd rip one off. Of course, back then they were super sticky, none of this wetting the nose stuff. But still, ripping the gunk out of your pores hurts.

So use this with the caveat that it's painful and not a long-term solution.

They temporarily remove them. It's like squeezing them out, you remove them, but your likely to have them come back a couple days later when your pores refill themselves with dirt. They might be useful for a quick fix, like before a date or something where you will be close to someones face, but its no long term solution unless you want to use them every few days.

If you do choose to use them before a special day or something, make sure to do it in the morning or a hours before because it will leave a mark. Especially if you have sensitive skin. Also, it's always best to minimize pores after having cleaned them out by putting cold water on your face or passing an icecube over it...

Yep they are just fine but I think forgotten about more than usual because people are trining to get rid of the start of the blackheads first.

First of all, if you're someone who needs to know how to remove blackheads, realize that you're not alone. A lot of people have this problem, men and women alike. And because they can get worse during hormonal swings, they can strike at any time during your life.
