Survival is based on so many questions. While newer buildings might not be built as solidly as some of the famous older buildings, if preserving them is a goal then they can be obtained.
Likewise, if styles change and they are viewed as unimportant, our methods of destruction would make it easy to destroy them as well.
I would recommend the book "The World Without Us" by Alan Weisman. It imagines a world in which humans are gone and discusses how buildings and cities would deteriorate. While seemingly unlikely that this scenario would occur it's interesting food for thought.

Will today's buildings survive long enough to be written about in tour books of ancient modern boxy cities?
Just walk by those skyscrapers on a really windy day and already the marble slabs are falling down before they are even considered old cities....

Well yea they will but not for the same reasons. They will be because there is a greater emphasis on preservation. So they will be there because some of them will be chosen as superior examples of particular periods architecture. So even if the structures may not be as solidly built as say the pyramids they will be preserved.
