I don't have experince with this exact program but if you right click and select 'get info' there is a 'open with' section, you can select other then navigate to 'terminal' under '/Applications/Utilities'. You may have to change the enable box from 'Recommended Applications' to 'All Applications'. This will launch the script via terminal whenever you click on it instead of your default action that's normally associated with the .sh extension.

chmod is the actually command that makes a file executable, I assumed you were looking for a way to simply double click on it to execute it. you could always go into terminal, navigate to the directory then do a './command' to execute it.
