Another phrase for "Word of Mouth"

Word of mouth is a reference to the passing of information from person to person - "Wikipedia"

Synonyms - Vivavoce, verbally, oral message, personal account...does'nt really capture the message of how information travels by - "word of mouth"

Can anyone out there think of a phrase / word that captures that message ?

Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Word of mouth marketing is often called viral marketing - where the message spreads from person to person like a virus.

If I read your question correctly, you are trying to come up with another phrase that captures the essence of Word of Mouth advertising. Perhaps something like, "Our best advertising comes from personal reference" or "We rely on personal testimony as our only form of advertising". Another one might be "Our clients usually hear about us through the endorsement of others". Hope one of those tickles your fancy. Mahalo!

word of mouth = He Said, She Said = rumour = buzz = grapevine
word of mouth is informal, evaluative communication about an organization, brand, product, or service, which may or may not include a recommendation. I further differentiate this between institutional (consciously managed by an organization) and everyday WOM. This obviously shows a bias towards "marketing" or "brand"-related content.
