Announcement: Presenting Mahalo Answers first white-label knowledge community... for Conundrum Wine!
The site will certainly host discussions about wine, but our friends at Conundrum are really interested in hearing your thoughts on modern day conundrums (get it?! :-).
Do give us some feedback and look for more on this later in the week. Very exciting day for us here at Mahalo... our first client!!! :-)

Any info on how to get this set up on a site? I'm curious what it costs to implement this solution.

M$"You joined Mahalo. Welcome!"
There is a registration process / logic error. I was asked to reconfirm my birthday / zip and not told that I had successfully confirmed the email.
It would be great if Mahalo logins were common. At the very least, twitter / facebook connect login should be promoted. I likely wouldn't take the time to register on a whitelabel site.
When an answer is submitted on MA, it doesn't flow to Conundrum.
I like the clean lines of the whitelabel. It's simple and easy to understand.
The layout looks great. The Conundrum site itself is "top shelf". The header on whatisyourconundrum leads me to associate Conundrum wine with the site itself. If that is the goal, great. If the company wants a variety of questions and answers, I suggest moving the wine bottle graphics to the right column.
Speaking of the right column, the font size on the red "preferred" box is a few points too high. Actually, forget the text, I'd toss customized (muted sepia) versions of their logos in that space.
The footer is attractive. I _love_ the wine field pic. It's too large and doesn't have any content. Give me something to do next down there. Maybe a few other interesting questions or Conundrum promotions.
In the "Follow Us" section, use the API's of the various social networks to display what you're talking about on each one. Since Conundrum is a product, it's a little harder to get a "follow". Show me that you're interesting and you'll increase the chance of a follow.
Where is your e-mail newsletter? I know they're a bit passe in this time of twitter. However, many older folks (who love wine btw) love e-mail... not digg or delicious.
I like how I can press "share a conundrum" to ask a question. I also like the product name, Conundrum. However, to ensure clear navigation, I would change that (even temporarily for startup) to "Ask a Question". Maybe "Ask a Conundrum" if the word has to be in there.
I could go on ... and on... and on... with pros and cons... but I'll stop here. Bottom line - nice implementation on a nice site.

M$OK people, go to http://www.conundrumland.com to sign up and answer the wine questions.
Jason gave the link. But it is far down in the discussion. Hope it helps
I also really like how the questions that come from Conundrum have the little logo so Mahalo users know they are answering questions for users within a different community.

When you answer Conundrum questions on Mahalo the answer will also appear on the Conundrum site.

M$But I'm not 100% sure I understand what is going on here - So mahalo takes over questions on other sites? Clarify for me anyone?
Just a couple things I wanted to mention
a) Boo, I'm not old enough :(
b) Boo, you need to live in the US! :(

M$Ya, It was not taking the zip code i gave. I gave the white house zip code. it took me in.
Actually, the white label can be accessed with a white lie or two. Just switch the birth year to say 1901, and the zip to 20500. That'll get you in. (the zip, of course, is the White House).
To clarify, Conundrum is using the Mahalo Answers web software to power its own Answers site. And yes Boo on both accounts, but thats the law in the US :(
I know, I'll deal with it as long as I live in Canada.. The drinking age is only 19 here!
I definitely understand it much better now that the first conundrum questions are coming in.. I see a conundrum_robbrown on the list of new members... hmm I wonder who that is? ;)
It's sort of similar to how twitter questions are answered here, correct?

M$It really blends in with the site.
The idea of having private label Q & A sites is a great step forward for Mahalo for two main reasons:
1. More income for Mahalo to keep the project going.
2. More subjects are being covered and Mahalo is spreading its influence.
Fantastic job guys!

M$Respect to the programmers, white label coding is a nightmare especially if it's bolted on to existing technology.
Was this planned from the get go or an afterthought?

M$I can't log in with my Mahalo account for it, have to create a new one!
What's the process of getting a white label Mahalo Answers site? Is there any literature on it?

M$Stick to the wine questions. That's my opinion.

M$Great opportunity for Mahalo and very good idea, if I may say : ) Very interested to see future sites adopting the Mahalo Answers platform.
I do not see the belt-point-dollar system at Conundrum, though.

M$Also, what's up with all the non-wine categories over there? I can't imagine a wine site visitor being interested in 'Pets' or 'Working'. I would have expected more wine-dedicated categories.
Further, what's up with the non-wine questions?
"Should Michael Jackson's doctor face a life sentence, or the death penalty, for his involvement in the singer's death? "Seems like this question (or 'conundrum') is posted on Mahalo and then fed to conundrum, or Lon has been trying to fill out all categories.
All that said, I DO see some great possibilities for this type of cross-over Q&A site feed. You might even send any questions posted in the 'Food & Drink' at Mahalo over to 'conundrum'. Otherwise, the 'conundrum' site might run dry after the first flow of questions.
Another point: I imagine that 'conundrum' would value quick and accurate answers, so to get them some more airtime, Mahalo might consider posting these questions as 'premium' questions. (higher reward, automatic 'interesting' tags, anything to make sure the question gets extra attention).
I sure hope this combination works out, but the start looks promising!
On a side-note: Are the Wine-pages we create through the Barnraising #7 tasks going to be available there too? That would REALLY be an added service. Both to conundrum AND to the page managers!
