After looking at his Mahalo page, I would have to say that Scott MacIntyre will probably do very well on American Idol, despite his handicap. While he might not win the whole thing, I think that he will probably generate a lot of excitement and talk among viewers.

That being said, I really think that he could do a lot better than American Idol as a way to show off his talents, IMHO. AI is generally built for finding the most cookie-cutter, lowest-common denominator, generic sounding artist that is going to have the most widespread appeal. Hopefully his stint on AI will lead to bigger and better things.
