However, there is anecdotal evidence that the length of time that marijuana remains in the body is affected by how often the person smokes, how much he smokes and how long he has been smoking. Regular smokers have reported positive drug test results after 45 days since last use and heavy smokers have reported positive tests 90 days after quitting.

The National Institute of Health says this. --
Q: How long does marijuana stay in the user's body?
A: THC in marijuana is rapidly absorbed by fatty tissues in various organs. Generally, traces (metabolites) of THC can be detected by standard urine testing methods several days after a smoking session. In heavy users, however, traces can sometimes be detected for weeks after they have stopped using marijuana.

This all depends on how much marijuana you take into your system. The general rule of thumb is 15 days per average full sized "joint" smoked. For it to completely untraceable.
It is in-fact different for each tested. For instance the urine being tested wouldn't show up on a drug test after 10 day per average full sized "joint" being smoked.
However 15 for a blood test.
THC particles are usually dormant on hair particles after the 2nd showering of the body.
Again this is just a general rule of thumb.
And I don't condone using marijuana or any illegal substances in any way otherwise permitted by law.
And its really not good for you either anyways.

THC is fat souluble, so if you are a chronic user, it may be detectable in your urnie for several weeks. An occasional user may not have to wait as long. If you are concerned about a drug test, the best thing to do is stop smoking at least 30 days prior to the test.
