Yes, I know of people who have, as implied by physician author(s) of a Minnesota Wellness publications page, who give advice about the powerful therapeutic qualities of organic germanium to treat cancer. It helps stimulate the human immune system cell's production, and thus, secretion of soluble anti-infectious proteins. It also enhances the bodies ability to store more oxygen. The best (and only source I know of) natural source of germanium is garlic. Check out the source below.

I looked at the source that was provided, and it does not give any facts or evidence that "organic germanium" is an effective treatment for cancer. No other links, no links to any studies at all.

In fact, I am having trouble reading and understanding this page because it makes no sense. It is talking about principles that do not have any basis in science or medicine.

It is very important to talk with your doctor about any other things you may want to take during your cancer treatment.

The American Cancer society is a good place to get information about Complimentary and Alternative Therapies.

The Mayo clinic is also a good place to get information on alternative medicine and herbal supplements.

**Of course** people battling cancer or dealing with a loved one's cancer, should seek advice from, hopefully more than JUST "their doctor," but from various health-care professionals; to consider suggested treatment options for their individual condition, etc. I think that's a given, especially for this question, which is going beyond the "surface." ALTERNATIVE treatment is what we're talking about here, and when there is an absolute single cure for cancer, then you can say that this answer had "no scientific basis," but until then, I have to disagree with your "refuting" on my answer. Most physicians aren't going to give their patients any alternative medicine suggestions, or treatment information regarding it because many doctors aren't paid to do so, and they must follow the policies of the medical industry(it is a business just like any other). If you can prove that there is no science behind my answer, or that engaging in methods of organic food/herbal consumption has no treatment, valuable for the human body, then explain why it was so hard to comprehend(at least to you), and doing this, you will only then, proving your point. You should also throughly explain why it(my source site) was so senseless, as well. I think someone diligent enough to question the diversity of how he or she can empower they're health, especially in using potentially harsh or intensive/extensive methods and measures of therapy and treatment, can decide for themselves how they use reputable advice. I also suggest that, if you have any actual knowledge that could benefit and help people actually interested in the cause of this question, than throw some actual positive advice down, instead of just nit-picking mine.
