Historically speaking most of the musicians who influence us now where influenced by the great Rhythm & Blues and Jazz musicians such as Bo Diddly, Muddy Watters, Charlie Watts & Chuck Berry. The album that I believe has influenced the most musicians today would be a tie between The Beach Boys, "Pet Sounds," and the Beatles "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band."

My personal favorite "rock" album would be "Devil Without A Cause," by Kid Rock.

I would have to say Elvis Presleys debut album "Elvis Presley" ushered in a new genre of music and influenced many rock genre artists for years. I still pull this one out of the LP collection now and again. This album was also the first million-selling rock 'n' roll album.

My favorite rock album of all time is 1988s "Nothing's Shocking" by Janes Addiction. For me these were the good times.

I seen countless rock bands cite The Clash's album London Calling as an influence.

I just noticed it is modeled after that Elvis Presley album posted above, how about that.
