What brands of running shoes would I see "real" runners wearing?
You may think this question implies that I want to be a poseur, but what I am trying to find out is, what do "professionals" choose for track running? I have had several pairs of Nike and they just seem to be garbage (especially since they are like $150). And by garbage, I mean, they've shown signs of excessive wear within several weeks. Are there companies that only (or primarily) make running shoes? If not, what popular brands have a large selection of decent, durable shoes?
