There are places in the world I would love to visit, including Iraq (where Babylon once stood), and Egypt. I would not, at this time, take the risks associated with being in either place. Sure, the likelihood of violence might be more perception than reality, for a simple tourist, but it is not a gamble I would take. In addition, I have political reasons for not wanting to be in Iraq, as well.
I would love to see the "Northern Lights"... I came across a video in researching an answer for someone else, and I found it breathtaking... I'm sure there must be some adventure up north to be had, underneath such a beautiful and magical display. Perhaps I am still distracted by those images, but I can think of nowhere else in the world to recommend more than somewhere you can look up and see something which seems out of a fantasy novel or a sci-fi movie.

Adventure consultant ? Is there still a market for me?
I have been an adventurer most of my professional life. I have the priveledge of being able to show clients a glimpse (perhaps more) of what they want through travel and adventure. Where in the world do you suggest I go , and with the economy are people interested in adventure.

I'd like to think people are always interested in adventure. These days, in the west especially, there's a bit more of a fear factor for traveling abroad, and as much as people love adventure, they crave security and safety, as well. I agree. I do think there are travelers out there. The video you posted is pretty amazing, I was a mountain adventure guide in Alaska for the last 6 months and was amazed at what the Pacific Northwest has to offer. Thank you for your input! It's keeping me hopeful.
