a gnat just flew into my wine glass. If I scoop it out intact, is it safe/sanitary to drink the rest of the wine?

bugs are gross looking, but the vast majority of them are harmless, if not nutritious.
You probably eat a few dozen gnats a year.

ever notice that if you buy produce and let it sit out and rot, fruit flies and/or gnats appear. it's because the eggs were already on the produce. You would've eaten them anyways.
