You should be able to go into your profile (Click your name next to welcome in the upper right hand corner) and then click the tab labeled "tasks". The task will be there still as well as your work and the feedback given at the end.
You simply make the recommended changes and hit "submit". :D
I was scared the first time I got a rejection too because I thought all my work was lost.

Mahalo is adding a tip to all questions that don't offer a tip.
How to recover a work-in-progress Mahalo Task? My initial try was rejected with feedback on how to improve it. I asked for clarification but
my query to contact@mahalo.com and the reviewer went unanswered. Now all my work on How to Become a CIO is gone. I didn't make a backup as the rejected version was still available and I was working on addressing the feedback provided.
Hopefully I can be given a copy of the work submitted to date. Does anyone know if this is possible?

Thanks for answering. It doesn't get my data back but makes me feel better. I finally reached someone and apparently all the messages I sent via the contact web page hasn't reached anyone either. As you say - probably just not me.
I should note that once you reach someone on Mahalo staff they are quite helpful and do what they can.

Quote----------
"If your submission is rejected, the Mahalo guide who looked over your work will offer you constructive feedback and, in most cases, will offer you a chance to try again. You will be offered an opportunity to reclaim the task and fix whatever was missing. In some special cases, a guide may choose to open up the task to different users, and it will return to the Mahalo Tasks front page."
End Quote-----------
I've never had a task rejected where I had to reclaim it, but that last line of the quote may have been what happened to you. Perhaps they reopened it to other users.
