There are a lot of factors that determine how fast a task will be reviewed. One big factor is the amount of tasks that are submitted at any given time. If a lot of tasks are submitted in one day, naturally it will take longer to get around to reviewing each one. The review system does not work like "first in, first out" so sometimes tasks get reviewed right away, and other times they sit in the system for a few days.
If your task was valued at $7 when you claimed it, you will get the $7 when it is approved. Usually if you see the amount cut in half like that, it is actually the amount that will be given to the reviewer of the task.
My advice for getting tasks approved quickly is by claiming high valued tasks like how to's, and then working hard on them. Tasks that have all sections complete and have followed all directions are more likely to be reviewed faster.

About the amount, I noticed that one too. When I claimed a how to rush week task, the original amount written on top is $7 but when I already submitted it, it will turn to $3.50... I think it's just a glitch? Because once the task has been approved, $7 is added on my account.

How long does it generally take a task to be reviewed?
I was curious because my first two tasks were reviewed within 24 hours, one within hours but the one I did this week had been sitting about 2 days. I thought perhaps it was because I chose a task that had been sitting for 36 days without someone completing it. What's the average as far as reviews?
Also, the top of the task says a different amount as far as the tip for completing than the instructions within the task (Task says 3.50 instructions say 7.00) which will be paid?

• Thanks.
It is interesting to know the reviewer gets half the tip. I did not know that, explains some.

The tasks are being reviewed usually within one day but maybe due to lots of task being sent to them, some took a while before they will be reviewed. There are times when I just sent a task then I will be informed right away that they already reviewed it. About the amount, I noticed that one too. I was unaware that higher value assignments are reviewed first though, do you know why that is? Most the assignments appear to be in the same range and when they are higher it's more of a bonus incentive than a sign of importance or difficulty.
