I use it in my class and then show them the follow on The Sticky Notes Experiment. I ask them to contrast the two to help them understand what is a viral video. The original was a viral classic with 10 million + views on YouTube alone (YouTube version. More important there were several hundred thousand views within days. Sticky Notes was a commercialized version that tried to go viral and currently approaching 680,000 YouTube hits after a year in circulation.
There has been many articles written about the original video so serves as a good business case that can be studied in a marketing or introductory information technology course. Many issues are raised such as the ethics of posting on YouTube. The original was posted on EepyBird host but quickly copied to YouTube so the creators lost a revenue stream.

It wasn't part of Jason's title montage and I obviously did not read closely enough -- I just posted my favorite viral videos (and I would assume that with over 6 million views, they are in the top 100 - but definitely not in the original montage).
