Annika Sorenstam

Swedish professional golfer Annika Sorenstam formerly played in the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA). After turning pro in 1992, Sorenstam won the U.S. Open Championship and the LPGA Championship three times each.

On March 19, 2009, Sorenstam announced on her personal blog that she was expecting her first child with husband Mike McGee. The former LPGA champion is due in fall of 2009.ESPN.com: Sorenstam Expecting First Child

Retirement

Sorenstam announced in April of 2008 that she would retire from the league at the conclusion of the 2008 season. She completed her professional career on December 14, 2008, by placing seventh in the Dubai Masters, recording a birdie on her final hole.BBC: Sorenstam Ends Career with Birdie
