Meet Author Annie Jacobsen
Annie Jacobsen is the author of Area 51: An Uncensored History of America's Top Secret Military Base. An investigative reporter with a focus on national security issues, Annie's writing can be read in the Los Angeles Times Magazine, as well as in her column, "Backstory," at latimes.com. Annie has written for The National Review and The Dallas Morning News as well.Articles on Annie have been published in The New York Times, Foreign Policy Magazine, the London Telegraph and Shanghai Daily. She has been featured on over 600 radio shows, including National Public Radio and The Savage Nation, for her knowledge of national security and intelligence matters. Her television appearances include such stations as ABC, MSNBC, FOX and CNN.

Additional Information
Annie did her undergraduate work at St. Paul's School in New Hampshire, graduating in 1985 and going to Princeton University for her graduate work. At Princeton Annie wrote with the likes of Joyce Carol Oates and Paul Aster while studying Greek. She was also the captain of the Princeton Women's ice hockey team.Annie currently resides in Los Angeles with her husband, Kevin and their two sons.
