Annie Get Your Gun is a musical based on a fictional version of the life of Annie Oakley, a sharpshooter from Ohio. The 1946 production, starring Ethel Merman as Annie, was a hit with long runs in both New York and London. In 1950 a film version of the musical starring Betty Hutton and Howard Keel.
