  • Annie is a musical adapted from the comic strip Little Orphan Annie written by Harold Gray. It has appeared in film in 1982 and 1999, and ran on Broadway from April 21, 1977 to January 2, 1983.
  • Plot

    Eleven year old orphan Annie lives in an orphanage with the evil Miss Hannigan where she and her friends share their dreams of finding parents. After escaping and finding a dog she names Sandy, Annie is chosen by a staff member of the billionaire Oliver Warbucks to live with them for a few weeks. While visiting, Warbucks tries to find her parents but instead find out that Annie's parents have died. In the tragedy, Annie and Warbucks develop a relationship and start a new family.
