New York authorities say Anne Morell Petrillo, the daughter of the late newspaper heiress Anne Scripps Douglas, jumped from the Tappan Zee Bridge into the Hudson River to her death. Reports say witnesses saw the 38-year-old Petrillo get out of her car and jump from the bridge in Tarrytown, New York, on the evening of September 24, 2009. Petrillo's mother, Anne Scripps Douglas, was beaten to death by Petrillo's stepfather in 1993.
