    When Anne Melican met Harvey Strother in June of 1996, he was already an alcoholic. He told her he was a widower, but confessed several months later that he was still married. By the end of his life, his doctors said he was consuming between four and five bottles of wine a day, and had a blood alcohol content of .40.     Three times during the last year of his life, Strother changed his will in her favor, adding a codicil that any heir who contested the will would be left out.     Dr. Walter Young visited Strother several days before he died. He reported that Strother was drunk, and unable to stand up.
