• Will The Performers Help The Oscars?

  Bill Condon and Laurence Mark, the producers of the 81st Academy Awards show, kept the names of the performers and presenters under wraps, with a few exceptions. Vanessa Hudgens, Anne Hathaway, Hugh Jackman, Zac Efron, Amanda Seyfried and Beyonce were revealed to be performers for the 81st Academy Awards show.

  Condon and Mark also instituted some changes to encourage longer viewing and to increase interest in the show, due to last year's telecast falling to the lowest number of viewers ever.
