In early October of 2007, tabloids reported the existence of a photo of the late Anna Nicole Smith allegedly taken shortly after her death from a drug overdose on February 8, 2007. The photo was allegedly being offered for sale to the highest bidder.
Almost simultaneously, a photo was released on the Internet showing a seemingly-unconscious Smith covered in vomit. The alleged death photo was found to have been taken by Smith's companion Howard K. Anna Nicole Smith was found unresponsive on February 8, 2007, in her Seminole Hard Rock Hotel room in Hollywood, Florida. Her bodyguard, Maurice Brighthaupt, administered CPR until paramedics arrived on the scene.
