  • Anna Friel is a British-born actress who currently stars in the ABC drama series Pushing Daisies. In 2008, it was announced that she would appear opposite Will Ferrell in the film adaptation of the Sid and Marty Krofft 1970s television series Land of the Lost.
  • Brief Biography

    Born in England to two teachers, Friel received her first recurring role as part of the cast of the British soap opera Brookside. Just before her character was killed off (at her request) Friel engaged in a scandalous on-screen lesbian kiss that became the talk of England. In recent years, in addition to her critically acclaimed work on Pushing Daisies (she garnered a Golden Globe nomination), she has starred in a highly popular series of family-oriented soccer films, beginning with Goal!. Many observers believe that Friel is set to become a major film star in the next couple of years, given her upcoming work with Ferrell on Land of the Lost, as well as her upcoming appearance in the World War II-era crime drama Angel Makers, alongside veteran actors John Hurt and Helen Mirren.
