Anna Chapman Guilty Plea
Chapman and the other defendants plead guilty to the charges, which were in violation of the Foreign Agent Registration statute. All were deported back to Russia in swap that returned four accused spies back to the United States. As part of her plea agreement, Chapman reportedly cannot sell her story for profit. After Anna Chapman was arrested, another alleged Russian spy named Anna Fermanova popped up. She is 24 and was born in Latvia. She is a U.S. citizen and is being accused of smuggling night vision goggles into Russia in March of 2010. She is charged with knowingly exporting "defense articles on the U.S. Munitions list."
