Anna Boden is a writer/director that collaborated with Ryan Fleck for their directorial debut Half Nelson starring Ryan Gosling. Boden and Fleck's latest film Sugar premiered at the 2008 Sundance Film Festival.

Bowden and Ryan Fleck's latest film Sugar is about Miguel "Sugar" Santos, a young man who came to the United States form the Dominican Republic to play baseball. The film stars Algenis Perez Soto, Richard Bull, and Michael Gaston.
Half Nelson
Fleck and Boden's first feature premiered at the 2006 Sundance Film Festival and was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actor. The story is about an inner city junior high school teacher with a drug habit who forms an unlikely friendship with one of his students. The feature is based on a 2004 short, Gowanus, Brooklyn.
