    In 1983 Ann Taylor had grown into a nationally known clothing company with 47 stores in the United States, represented by three divisions, Ann Taylor, Anny Taylor Loft, and Ann Taylor Factory. By 2007 Ann Taylor was operating nearly 870 stores and outlets in the United States, the district of Colombia, and Puerto Rico with and estimated $2.3 billion dollars in sales.
